Twitter Facebook

There's a variety of ways to shoot your shot — straight black, in a decadent drink, at a girl insanely out of your league. Wait, that's the wrong kind of shot. No matter how you do it, there's no wrong way to swig back the all-new, deeply smooth Death Wish Coffee Dark Roast Espresso shots. Here are 5 ways we brew it and do it each and every day.

1.The Ultimate Cappuccino

The best cappuccino recipe, much like all the other recipes on this list, uses the highest quality ingredients. It focuses on having equal parts steamed milk, foam and espresso, while keeping things simple for your morning grind.

  • Double Death Wish Coffee Dark Roast Espresso shot
  • 4 ounces fresh whole milk

  1. Brew the espresso shots into a large cup (cappuccino cup if you have it) and set aside.
  2. Pour cold milk into a steaming pitcher (about a third of the way full).
  3. Start frothing by dipping the steaming wand into milk. Once your foam starts to rise, lower the pitcher, making sure to keep the tip submerged and the pitcher tilted.
  4. Use a thermometer to ensure the milk reaches 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. Swirl the milk container a few times and tap onto countertop to compress the foam.
  6. Pour the milk and foam directly into the brewed espresso, focusing on the center then swirling out toward the rim.

2. The Meritorious Macchiato

If you would rather focus on having all the foam in your drink, this recipe is for you. One part espresso, one part foam, wholly delicious.

  • Double Death Wish Coffee Dark Roast espresso shot
  • 2 ounces whole milk foam

  1. Brew the espresso shots into a large mug.
  2. Steam the milk to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (measure with a food thermometer, or approximate by testing with your finger – milk should be hot to touch but not simmering)
  3. Use a milk frother to froth milk. Your foam should be nice and fluffy with small, even bubbles.
  4. Use a spoon to remove the top of the foam and gently place on top of espresso.

    3. The Best Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso

This recipe is perfect for the days you have a little more time to dedicate to your morning coffee and want to treat yourself to a delicious morning pick me up.

    • Double Death Wish Coffee Dark Roast espresso shot
    • 1 tbsp brown sugar, not packed
    • ½ cup milk of choice
    • ⅛ tsp vanilla extract
    • ¼ tsp cinnamon
    • Lots of ice

    1. Add brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon into a mason jar with a lid or a cocktail shaker.
    2. Brew a double shot of espresso and pour into container over brown sugar mixture.
    3. Add lots of ice to container and shake vigorously until sugar is completely dissolved (30 seconds – 1 minute).
    4. Pour over a tall glass with lots of ice in it. Add milk of choice and top with cinnamon.

       4. The Dirtiest of Chai Recipes

Some of you may enjoy an occasional cup of tea, and although we may judge you for it, we also have a recipe for you that is the best of both worlds.

      • ½ cup of preferred milk

      1. Place chai concentrate into microwave-safe mug and heat for 30 seconds.
      2. Brew espresso shots and pour into mug with chai concentrate.
      3. Pour milk into separate container and froth to heat milk.
      4. Combine steamed milk with chai concentrate and espresso mixture.
      5. If you want to be really fancy, top with chai spice blend to serve.

       5. The Illustrious Irish Coffee

There is no better pairing than alcohol and coffee. This caffeinated cocktail will make you want to personally thank every Irish person you know.
