Vanilla Coffee + Vanilla Ice Cream = The Perfect Dessert
Some flavors become classics for a reason. Rich, smooth, and endlessly comforting, Vanilla Coffee delivers the perfect balance of bold coffee and sweet vanilla flavor in every cup.
Crafted with the legendary strength of Death Wish Coffee and naturally flavored with creamy vanilla notes, it's the kind of coffee that makes slowing down feel like a reward. And when paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream? That's where things get really good.
The word affogato comes from the Italian word for "drowned," and that's exactly what you're about to do: pour hot, bold vanilla coffee over cold, creamy ice cream for one of the simplest and most satisfying coffee desserts ever created.
Ready to turn your favorite coffee into your favorite dessert? Grab a bag of Vanilla Coffee and make the best-tasting affogato in just four easy steps.
How To Make a Vanilla Affogato
Traditional affogato is made with a single scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream, a chilled glass and two ounces of strong coffee. The espresso isn’t supposed to melt the ice cream but rather run down the side of it and create a small pool of espresso at the bottom. The chilled glass is used for this reason, but have no fear—if you don’t have time for that step, your affogato will still be just as delicious.
Ingredients:
- Vanilla ice cream of your choosing
- Chilled glass
- 2 ounces of Vanilla Coffee
- Bonus ingredient: Biscotti, because of course you need a little crunch
Directions:
- Chill a glass by placing it in the freezer for a minimum of 30 minutes
- Brew Death Wish Coffee Vanilla any way you like. We recommend following brew instructions to yield a strong cup (or the 4-ounce setting on your single-serve coffee pod machine)
- Scoop vanilla ice cream
- Slowly add your coffee and enjoy!
Want to kick things up a notch?
If you had a REALLY hard day and need something more to elevate your dessert, we recommending adding Amaretto. This Italian liquor packs flavors of marzipan and concentrated almond-oil notes, which complements the vanilla flavors perfectly.
