If you thought your life was busy, try running multiple restaurants, starting a charity, and being the frontman of a American Celtic punk band. For Ken Casey, it's just all in a day's work.
A day in the life of Ken Casey, frontman of the Boston Celtic punk band the Dropkick Murphys, is busy and rewarding. We followed Ken as he drops off charitable donations from The Claddagh Fund and visits some of the people and places that it benefits.
But his day doesn't stop there — we watched in awe as he presides over the bouts during the Murphy's Boxing event that night alongside legends of the sport like Micky Ward. Ken also checks in to the two restaurants he owns in Dorchester, drops in on the local nuns, and practices with the band as they get ready to tour Europe.Â
Ken Casey and the Dropkick Murphys have been friends of Death Wish Coffee for years — we've partnered with them to raise money for The Claddagh Fund, including during their 2021 St. Patrick's Day livestream performance when the world was still shut down.
The Claddagh Fund focuses on children’s and veterans’ organizations, as well as drug and alcohol recovery programs in Boston and Philadelphia.
