The "world's worst cat" is up for adoption and she is my spirit animal

The world's worst cat is also the world's cutest cat, in my opinion

Newser reports that “the world’s worst cat needs a home.” Could this be a possible match made in hell?

Mitchell County Animal Rescue organization in North Carolina is waiving the adoption fee for Perdita, in hopes that someone (anyone) will take her off their hands and welcome the crafty 4-year-old cat into their home.

The rescue group shared it’s thoughts about Perdita on their Facebook page saying, "We thought she was sick. Turns out she's just a jerk."

The shelter ran with the banter of the moody feline saying, “Meet Perdita, not for the faint of heart. LIKES: staring into your soul until you feel as if you may never be cheerful again; the song Cat Scratch Fever, the movie Pet Cemetery (Church is her hero), jump scares (her specialty), lurking in dark corners, being queen of her domicile, fooling shelter staff into thinking she's sick (vet agrees...she's just a jerk) DISLIKES: the color pink, kittens (yuk they are so chipper), dogs, children, the Dixie Chicks, Disney movies, Christmas and last but NOT least...HUGS. She's single and ready to be socially awkward with a socially awkward human who understands personal space. FREE ADOPTION.”

Honestly, this cat sounds just like me when I don't have my coffee and don't want to talk to anyone.

Perdita has been at the shelter since Christmas Eve and last week marked a turning point for the femme fatale. People are easily sold gluttons for punishment, as Perdita has received more than 115 adoption applications, hundreds of emails of love and support and many, many phone calls ever since the shelter ran with her bad branding. There’s a sucker born every minute and we feel confident that Perdita will force her new owner to know this.

The shelter made their decision Monday on selecting her new home and Arm & Hammer offered a year’s worth of cat litter to her adopter.

Best of luck to Perdita and her unfortunate human who obviously has zero regards for their own safety (worth it).
