Weekends are for chilling out, and grilling out, but starting tonight, you can do so from the comfort of your own couch while you catch another virtual concert of Dropkick Murphys and this time, their bringing “The Boss” to join them.
Newsweek announced that Bruce Springsteen and the Dropkick Murphys will team up for a virtual concert from the Boston Red Sox's home field, Fenway Park, called "Streaming Outta Fenway."
The livestream will feature the Dropkicks playing on the field at an empty Fenway. The Boss will join in remotely to perform some songs of his own.
Dropkick Murphys announced on their Facebook page that “This free live stream will have NO AUDIENCE in the stands. That’s another first - no band has ever played a full show in an empty sports stadium!! This means you get to take part in this show with your rowdy kids and neighbors right from your own living room or backyard.”
Nothing can stop these East Coast natives from bringing the gift of rock and roll to their fans, all while the show benefits the Boston Resiliency Fund, Habitat For Humanity Greater Boston, and Feeding America.
We love hearing that great musicians are continuing to do great things for those in need and we can’t wait to see if Dropkick will backup The Boss or vice versa. It’s anyone’s game at this point.
