Rage Yoga involves swearing and unleashing your inner anger

Traditional yoga is great for some people, but is it the best way to extinguish that fire that is burning inside those of us who long for hellfire and brimstone to rain down and bury the people who have us seeing red? Maybe “Rage Yoga” is a better option for us, my hot headed, ass kicking, foul mouthed, Death Wish coffee drinking, heavy metal loving, yet health conscious friends.

Rage Yoga gives patrons a place to be their badass selves without the bullshit – in person and online.
Why control your anger when you don’t necessarily have to? We all get pissed off about those annoying life things which usually revolve around other people and make us feel out of control. Bills, senseless pressure, the ex, your coworker who left the coffee pot empty – all of these little ticking time bombs can add up leading to a thermonuclear meltdown from time to time.
In a recent Ladders article, we learn that anger can actually be beneficial and that it appears for a reason. Stop listening to that namaste nonsense and put on some metal. It’s okay to rage — sign me the f*&k up.
The founder of rage yoga describes the practice in an article with Her as "involving stretching, positional exercises and bad humor, with the goal of attaining good health and to become zen as f*&k."
We get it. Being cool, calm and collected isn’t in the cards for everyone. Sometimes, you just feel the need to amp up the anger to get everything that is on your mind out in the open. Having a safe and constructive place to awaken and unleash your inner beast is best.
