NASA activities for kids (and adults) at-home

Keep your children engaged with science at home thanks to NASA

Many of us are staying at home with children who are either dealing with a shift to online classes or completely shut off from schools. Well, thanks to the bright minds at NASA there is a brand new website dedicated to keeping children of all ages engaged with science.

With the tagline "Let NASA bring the universe into your home" the website NASA AT HOME is full of exciting and interesting things to do. From videos, and podcasts and eBooks to explore, to virtual tours and science experiments, this website will keep everyone at home occupied for hours, days, even months!

NASA also has a 24-hour TV Network, NASA TV that will air specials and NASA at-home programming geared towards children from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“We know people everywhere, especially students, are looking for ways to get out of the house without leaving their house,” said Bettina Inclán, associate administrator for NASA’s Office of Communications. “NASA has a way for them to look to the skies and see themselves in space with their feet planted safely on the ground, but their imaginations are free to explore everywhere we go. We’ve put that information at their fingertips. We hope everyone takes a few moments to explore NASA at Home.

By heading over to NASA AT HOME you can start to discover all the amazing content they have to offer. You could help the TESS satellite scan the skies for undiscovered worlds. Or maybe you want to take a virtual tour of the International Space Station. Or you could try out the new Spacecraft AR App that lets you take control of a spacecraft in our solar system.

We are obviously so excited about all of this new content from NASA because of how cool space is, and because our coffee went to the International Space Station twice.
