Meet Death Wish: Sierra Meisser, Online Reputation Manager

Death Wish Coffee Company is made up of a small but growing team. We want to take you inside our headquarters to introduce to some of the team members that make it all come together.
Sierra Meisser is our online reputation manager, and she previously worked in customer service. If you're talking to us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter then you've already met her.
What is your job at Death Wish?
I started in January of 2016 and I've been here for just about a year now. I work in Customer Service but I'm transitioning into the social media side of customer service. In general, I interact with the community on our Facebook page, Instagram and Twitter. I really love talking with our customers because overall they're super friendly and positive. Most people are just very excited and passionate, it's fun to interact with those people and get to know them better.
Where did you get your start?
I went to school for theater, so naturally, I became a barista. I did that for a few years until I found this job at Death Wish online. When I was hired, we were still in the process of the Intuit Quick Books competition, but because I already had some coffee knowledge, it wasn't that crazy of a transition.
What is a typical day like for you?
I typically wake up about 10 minutes before I have to leave. I'm out of bed at 7:20 and in the car at 7:30. Once I'm at HQ, I take a few minutes to plan my day, I log in to all of our customer service platforms and get going. At the office, I'll use the Death Cups to make my first cup of coffee. I typically drink it black but at home, I make a Chemex with a little bit of cinnamon or nutmeg.
Why do you love working in the coffee industry?
I love that it's a friendly and positive environment. Our office is very much like a coffee shop in the sense that people come and they talk to a friendly face. I like having that same relationship with the customer even if it's online, it's just like walking into a coffee place in the morning. Something I love about coffee culture is that it's one of the few things you can have a healthy addiction too. You can be hooked on it and completely passionate about every part of it.
