Death Wish Coffee Company is made up of a small but growing team. We want to take you inside our headquarters to introduce to some of the team members that make it all come together.
Eric Donovan has been with Death Wish since the beginning. Now, he spends his days making sure you're able to get Death Wish on Amazon, in stores and online (basically anywhere it's sold).
How Did you get your start at Death Wish?
I started working with Death Wish Coffee from the esteemed basement of Saratoga Coffee Traders in late 2012. Good Morning America did a story on us and orders took off. I haven't looked back since.
What do you do here? What is a typical day like?
I'm our Chief Logistics Officer and our Retail Operations dude. Basically, that means that I'm making sure all things supply chain run smoothly and efficiently while frantically dealing with all of our grocery retailers. In my spare time, I like to manage our Amazon listings and keep us in great standing with our friends at USDA Organic. I also have a cursory knowledge of Mathematics (as long as I can find my calculator) and am mono-lingual.
What does life outside of work look like?
Holy Crap! I thought you'd never ask. I like to hang out with my wife and baby most of all. That's like... the funnest stuff. I know funnest isn't a word and don't care. I'm also a nasty ping pong player and have never lost a match or bout or whatever they call it. I'm equally nasty on the sparkle drums. I love to read Kurt Vonnegut books and sad dystopian novels about how life is probably going to wind up for us down the road.
How do you drink your coffee?
With Almond milk and sugar. Whatever. Don't judge me. I don't judge the stuff you drink.
What’s one thing in your workday that you couldn’t live without?
I'd say my desk is pretty important. I mean, I could live without it, but then where would I put all my stuff? The floor? That seems out of the question. I'm sticking with my desk. Final answer.
