Josh Hara turns coffee cups into works of art

Josh Hara first starting doodling on coffee cups when a plain white to-go cup was just calling his name. Now, the illustrator has more than 100,000 followers on Instagram and he's known for turning ordinary travel coffee mugs into pieces of artwork. After all, if you're going to use a disposable cup, turn it into a piece of art and save it, right?

"Most of the time, I will do a really rough sketch of an idea in a Moleskin, sketchbook or whatever scrap of paper is nearby," Hara said in an interview with Talk Illustration. "It helps to have an idea of what something could look like before I start on the cup itself. And not just the drawing, the writing too.
