If You Drink Black Coffee, You’re Probably A Psychopath
Have you ever judged someone by what’s on their playlist? Of-course you have – We all have. Music tells you a lot about someone’s personality and can even affect their overall behavior. Similarly, a new study says you can tell a lot about someone by the way they take their coffee. Hold onto your hats, people. What I’m about to say could change your life forever if your go-to first date takes place at the coffee shop.
If your date chooses a black coffee over an indulgent, caffeinated, creamy dream, you may want to grab your latte and sneak out the backdoor. Word on the street is, your date is a psychopath.
A study of 500 people showed that those who enjoyed bitter flavors over sweet flavors were more likely to reveal signs of psychopathy, narcissism and everyday sadism. The study was tested upon participant’s ratings on foods that are either sweet, salty, sour, or bitter.
Do any of these traits sound like you?
These results were then compared to 4 different personality tests that pointed out specific traits that correlate with psychopathy.
2. Manipulative behavior
3. The ‘Big Five’ personality traits including:
4. The level of satisfaction participants receive from another person’s pain by having them rate statements such as, “I enjoy tormenting people,” and “I sometimes replay my favorite scenes from gory slasher films.”
If you’re a psychopath, you rated A+ on all of these tests and you’re going straight to Harvard Mental Institution. However, if you prefer a little cream and sugar in your coffee, studies show that you are more likely to reveal agreeable tendencies such as kindness, sympathy and cooperativeness. Keep in mind, however, that all of our cultures and past experiences differ from one another. What one person considers to be spicy, may be bland to another.
