How does Sideshow Collectibles create such incredible figures?

By Shannon Sweeney — October 22, 2018 / Death Wish Coffee Blog

Sideshow Collectibles has made premium figures for Marvel, DC Comics, and more

The employees of Sideshow Collectibles are a bunch of self-proclaimed geeks — and it shows in the mind-blowing detail, focus, and creativity in each and every one of their collectible figures.

"We all care so much about everything that we are putting out there for everyone that we want to make sure it's the right version of that character," Susan Damon, on-air talent and social media ambassador at Sideshow, said in an interview with Fueled by Death Cast. "We take our time, so we're not just gonna put out a piece because we're gonna put out a piece, we have people who do the concept art, and they go through several different designs."

Sideshow Collectibles was founded in 1994 with the goal of connecting people with their favorite iconic characters from TV, film, comics, and more. Their development team includes model makers, expert artists, sculptors, painters, and costumers, and together, they make insanely detailed statues, busts, articulated figures, film prop replicas, and fine art.

They've made characters from brands such as Star Wars, Marvel, DC Comics, Alien & Predator, Terminator, The Lord of the Rings, G.I. Joe, and more.

They also have their own original property called Court of the Dead — and you even have the chance to win a premium, extremely limited Death Master of the Underworld statue.
