Today is the 18th anniversary of the release of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" in theaters, and what's a better way to celebrate than booking a trip in Harry's Godric Hollow home? After all, in the words of Sirius Black, “What is life without a little risk?”

An old English tudor house in England that served as the house for Harry Potter in the Harry Potter movie series

With this in mind, please add a stay at Harry Potter’s childhood home to our bucket list. This is the place of life-altering outcomes for “the boy who lived.” It is where he got his lightning-bolt-shaped scar and where his parents were killed by “he who shall not be named.” The events that happened here shaped Harry’s life forever.

Today explains that the charming property, actually known as De Vere House is located in Lavenham, the medieval village in Suffolk, England.

Perhaps the quaint location of the bed and breakfast is easiest recognized by Harry Potter film fans as Godric’s Hollow. The house wasn’t actually destroyed, so don’t fill your muggle mind with such nonsense.  It was all movie magic.

According to the listing of the property on the Airbnb site, De Vere House offers two four-poster double bedrooms to choose from, complete with TV, WiFi access, private guest sitting room with log fire and courtyard garden and full English breakfast. Sounds like the perfect place to binge read as many Harry Potter books (and movies) as possible during the stay.

A stay at De Vere House runs 110 GBP per night (or around $141.75 USD per night) and has many eyes searching the property, in hopes to book their own stay.

Remember, “Time and space matter in magic, Potter,” so live it to the fullest by taking chances.
