Happy Earth Day, coffee drinkers! Here at Death Wish Coffee, every day is Earth Day. We've spent the last few years becoming as sustainable as possible, including our recyclable Death Cups and Odin Cups.
But that's just the tip of the iceberg — Death Wish Coffee uses organic coffee beans because we're committed to preserving biodiversity, protecting natural resources, and avoiding the use of harmful GMOs. That, combined with our Fair Trade partnership, means farmers of our coffee get a livable wage and fair working conditions.
So what does that mean to you when you take a sip of the World's Strongest Coffee? It means you're playing a role in becoming a more sustainable coffee drinker. Because of you, we're making the world a greener, more sustainable place. Here's how our community is saving the planet — after all, it's the only planet with coffee.
Last year, Death Wish Coffee was awarded the 2017 Environmental Impact Award through a partnership with Pratt Industries. Our use of packaging made from Pratt Industries' 100% recycled paper resulted in:
- 623,700 gallons of water saved
- 1,515 trees saved
- 89 tons of carbon dioxide prevented
- 356,400 kilowatt hours of power saved
- 294 cubic yards diverted from landfills
