Bleach Dye your Death Wish shirts for a new look

Quarantine has brought out the creativity in many people, leading to some interesting trends in cooking, crafting, and fashion. Bleach Dye has become popular again and we thought we would give it a try with some Death Wish Coffee and Valhalla Java shirts. The results were well, pretty surprising, and we would love to see you try this easy apparel modification with your own shirts, or buy some new ones just in case.

What you will need:

  • A dark T-Shirt or Sweatshirt - Death Wish Coffee or Valhalla Java will work
  • A handful of rubber bands
  • Bleach
  • Gloves (optional)

There are a few different ways to bunch up your shirt to get different bleach dye results. Depending on how tight you rubber band them together, and how many times you fold or scrunch or twirl the material will give you different designs once the bleach settles.

Be carefully using bleach, and if you want to be completely safe, wear gloves and clothes you don't mind getting ruined if you happen to get bleach on them. Also, apply the beach to the shirt either in a sink, or a container you can wash or throw away, or you can do it outside like we did on pavement and wash down the pavement afterward.

Use about 4 oz of bleach on each side of the shirt, although more or less in quantity will also yield different results. Then wait for 8 to 10 minutes for the bleach to do its magic and then you are done!

Take the shirt and rinse it thoroughly with water to get all the excess bleach out, then put it in the wash before you wear it. If you make an interesting fashion statement with your Death Wish Coffee or Valhalla Java Bleach Dye shirt, post it online and tag @deathwishcoffee so we can see your creation!
