For the fifth year, Death Wish Coffee Company is partnering with local organizations to ensure that children around Saratoga County have the best holiday season possible.

The 8th annual Toys for Toga Drive includes DeCrescente Distributing Company, Druthers Brewing Company and more. All the money raised and toys donated are split equally among Franklin Community Center, CAPTAIN Community Human Services and Mechanicville Area Community Services Center. In 2019more than 3,000 total toys were donated and more than $5,000 was raised to benefit the three local charities.

In 2019 we collected more than 1,400  toys at our office. This year, we’re looking to receive more than 2,000 donated  toys.

This was a hard year for many families in our community, and it gives us the opportunity to help now more than ever,” Mike Brown, owner and chief executive officer of Death Wish Coffee, said. “I grew up in Saratoga County, so this cause is close to my heart. We’re excited to see how many toys we can collect, and we’ll do everything we can to reach our goal of more than 2,000 toys.”

Death Wish Coffee will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys at their Saratoga HQ during normal hours from Wednesday, November 4 until Friday, December 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ESTThe first 1,000 people who donate toys at Death Wish Coffee will receive a free pound of coffee and a 4-pack of cold brew.

With COVID-19 precautions a top priority, all donated toys will be sanitized prior to reaching their final destination. People wishing to donate in-person should ring the doorbell, rather than coming inside, someone from the office will greet you at the door to collect the toy(s).

“We want this to be the biggest toy collection to date, and we cannot do so without the support of our community,” John Swedish, director of strategic engagement and partnerships, said. “We recognize that in this challenging year, many more local families will need support throughout the holidays.”
