Death Cups: How They're Made, Then and Now

Happy Birthday, Death Cups! One year ago, we started putting the World's Strongest Coffee into single-serve capsules. Since then, a lot has changed. Here's some history on how they came to be.
Our first reaction to the requests for single serves was a hard "no", because we've always gone out of our way to be as environmentally friendly as possible. The standard "K" Cup uses a ton of plastic and we didn't want any part of it. These, however, were a game changer. They're the "greenest" cups on the market, composed of significantly less plastic. We've always used these awesome, recyclable cups.
 Here's our original set up. We'd grind the beans in the grinder (right), then pour the grinds into the bowl-shaped mechanism (left). Another issue we foresaw with single serves was freshness. That was quickly remedied by minimizing time between grinding and filling.
The grinds would pour into the cup and we'd smooth the edge by hand. 
This machine here would seal each cup individually with a clear seal.
From there, we would sticker each capsule.
We had a lot of fun, but as you can imagine, this took a long time. We searched for other options and finally found this awesome machine, the first of it's kind. Take a look:
